Morning Session:
Kate - Goal
To finish getting Weebly up and running - COMPLETED (discussed options for next year re Platform, also suggested looking at it from a team perspective for support and continuity etc)
Ongoing focus - To make time to search for New Entrant resources via "Only2Clicks"
Maryanne - Goal
Digital Camera Focus - Ongoing (attended sessions at the Cluster Conference to support this goal and felt she got a great deal out of it)
Now looking at websites to enhance and support use of digital images in the classroom

Discussed the future introduction of TV screens
  • Set up an Only2Clicks to begin bookmarking websites to enhance classroom programme (Showed how to edit, add content, going to use Tessa as her support person)
  • Remember to sign in as soon as you have internet access and begin to add 'tabs'/pages so that you can familiarize yourself with the process.

Afternoon Session:
Tessa Goal - Utilise computers as much as possible in the library and flow over to the classroom ............Ongoing.
  • Last term worked on 'Shift key', Locating letters etc. This term focus on writing a sentence using WORD with a hope to working towards 'Inserting an Image' by the end of the year.
  • Looked at Kid Pix programme - shared examples of Painting/Slideshows/inserting sound/video etc
  • Find a price for Tessa to take to the learning management team.

Chris Goal - Radio Station establishment.....using Radionomy Website. (Is going to complete a reflection on his personal development Goal sheet)

Day 2 - Tuesday 17th July
Morning Session:
Lee - Goal - Interactive Data Projector - new to class last term (has had a one hour and a half session in her holidays with Providers re PD)
  • Ongoing PD and support needed
  • Discussion re interactive whiteboards versus interactive data projectors
  • Implemented Study ladder with whole class. Missed the session at the Cluster Conference due to presenting herself but has had one on one with her techie grand daughter. Passionate about its use to improve student outcomes. Has set role model it’s use and purpose with whole class on big screen and also set up 20 minute roster for students learning.

Jo - Goal - Web 2.0 tools consolidation and transfer to blog (Brie discussion as used the time to discuss and sign up for Blogger with Ellen)
  • Using Video’s, Photo sites, Youblisher.
  • Blog is being updated a minimum of once a week.
  • Continuing to use Easi speak, Chirbit.
  • Purchasing an iPad to make the move to mobile devices.

Ellen and Luke -
  • Signed up for a class Google Account, Created a Class Blog

Merenia Goal - Mobi and interactive teaching station - ongoing
  • Fixed issue with Interwrite Workspace - files saving but not opening.
  • Looked at Interwrite Gallery and began to install Adobe Flash so that they can be used in class......computer VERY slow to restart eg wouldn’t at all after 15 minutes!

Chloe Goal - Web 2.0 tools and Blog
Discussed tools currently being used - Photopeach (eg for Science project)
  • What Web 2.0 tool can you use that you can add sound too?
  • Slideboom - Signed up - role modelled its use, showed where to find embed code and discussed transferring to Weebly.
  • Opened PowerPoint and briefly showed how to add sound onto individual pages.

Afternoon Session:

Diane swapped with Teina (Teina rescheduled for tomorrow due to overlap of sessions not laving enough time for her today)
Diane - Year 0-4 size of screen making it difficult to role model use of tools.
Conference Feedback:
Attended Art type activities at the Cluster conference. Positive feedback and felt the day was VERY successful.
Blogging:
  • Discussed using mobile devices to blog - or Weebly.
  • Discussed ways to make process easier and ownership re age group.
  • Discussed personal issue re iphoto to itunes (See james at the Technology Centre)

Helen Goal - Blogging
  • Using - Research, Only2clicks, Study Ladder, Go Animate, BBC Games, You Tube
  • Connectivity issues with programmes such as Voki, Photo peach (Multimedia/Upload)
  • Looked at Only2Clicks site for educational videos to integrate into classroom practise. Showed where useful websites were eg Tabs “Literacy” “Numeracy”

Day 3: Wednesday 18th July

Dolly Goal - Weebly ongoing and how to use the Easi Speak to put onto Weebly.
  • Can now add photo's and know how to add voice recordings (from Easi speak to Weebly). Now working on adding a Slideshow (Photopeach) onto Weebly.

  • Removed 2 students from Class Panel
  • Added a new student to class list.
